Description

This is the sencilla flag (Regimental Colour) following the model of the 1706 regulation. The War of Spanish Succession had recently finished and the new Bourbon dynasty began to reign with Philip V. This brought a renovation of the Armies and their Colours. Source: Luis Sorando Muzás, Banderas, Estandartes y Trofeos del Museo del Ejército 1700-1842. According to Manzano 1997 [mzn97], it can date back to 1698 and have belonged to a Tercio of Aragon.
